Resolving…

It’s not DOS. Way more advanced. Abuser open constant connection to Apache. Apache has to wait for connection to complete based on it’s Timeout value. It never does, hence pages don’t deliver. Very clever. Yet too easy to solve… once you spend hours determining what it could be.

Box17/www still attacked. Unfortunately due to Apaches limitations, there’s only so much you can stop of this kind of exploitation. So just have to wait until attack subsides (or hacker has filled up his emotional barrel with adequate self-satisfaction). Meanwhile site delivery will be on/off.

All sites down. Nameserver Failure.

Coincidently, both NS1 and NS2 (different servers) went down. Hence no site is reachable.

UPDATE: It’s an attack on nameservers.

UPDATE: It’s not an attack. Some DNS error… and no idea what it is. Because same thing that’s taking down NS1, is also taking down NS2/NS3/NS3. We’re looking into it like crazy…

UPDATE: Ah FOUND IT! One of domains had IP beyond .255 range. Ok restarted bind… and sites should be back in +-4 hours.
